As data analyst, you love diving into data and turning it into meaningful insights. We need a data analyst like you to bring your knowledge for the betterment of public and workplace safety.
As a client-facing data analyst on our domestic resilience law enforcement team, you’ll work closely with your clients to understand their needs and expectations, and then navigate their data-rich environments to distill and compile pieces of their information to provide meaningful results. Not only will you provide a deeper understanding of their data, but you’ll also advise what the information means and how it can be used to make an impact on identifying potential threats.
How You’ll Contribute:
As a data analyst on our team, you’ll:
Use your technical knowledge and analytical mindset to support client and stakeholder relationships across multiple organizations and deliver enhanced monitoring and investigation capabilities.
Research, develop, and test data methodologies and generate results through aggregation and analysis of large data sets using commercial and proprietary tools.
Apply client-facing skills and data analytics experience to tailor the presentation of technical requirements and trends based on audience.
Present data findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders using your knowledge of databases, Python scripting languages, Splunk, and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Establish quantitative and qualitative metrics and key performance indicators to drive technical outcomes.
Apply data visualization through different formats, including Splunk and Excel worksheet tools.
Grow your communication and technical skills by merging consulting and big data to create data-centric solutions across the client's span of responsibility.

You Have:
Experience with aggregating and analyzing from large enterprise data sets or data lakes
Experience with advanced techniques of manipulating, analyzing, and visualizing large data using Excel
Experience analyzing and visualizing large data using Splunk
Ability to apply critical thinking and develop solutions with minimal oversight
Top Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree
Nice If You Have:
Experience with performing analytics for law enforcement case management
Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, Analytics, Technology, or Science
Splunk Core Certified Power User Certification
Splunk Enterprise Certified Administrator Certification
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $58,300.00 to $133,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.Work Model
