Quality Assurance Lead

The Challenge:

What if you could use your quality assurance skills to assist the premier provider of rapid response and integrated hardware solutions for the United States government and its allies? As a quality assurance manager, you'll have a key role on our team to develop, establish, implement, and maintain the quality program for a new and exciting project, including applicable certifications and ratings, such as AS9100D, and CMMI. You will participate broadly in establishing the goals of the program and apply interpersonal expertise for effective communication with technical and management personnel at all levels of the organization. You will provide quality management oversight, participate in planning, execution, and follow-up activities relating to audits, such as AS9100D, leverage technical delivery experience with hardware development, including prototyping and fabrication, associated processes, and environments to assist with assessment and mitigation of project risk at start-up and throughout the project life cycle. You will develop and deliver training to disseminate required knowledge among the quality team and provide inputs during reviews of process documentation and support similar tasks towards achieving the goals of the quality program. This position is located in Huntsville, AL.

You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience with quality assurance
  • Experience with delivering or providing quality support for engineering and science solutions as a technical project member, technical and quality lead, or project manager, where fabrication or prototyping took place in a technical facility or controlled laboratory environment
  • Experience with supporting and conducting AS9100D audits
  • Experience with risk assessment to support technical project delivery
  • Knowledge of US government contract technical products and services
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • BA or BS degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with models and standards, including CMMI
  • Experience with creating new processes and process modeling tools, including Visio or similar
  • Experience with providing proposal support, primarily for required quality topics
  • Experience with providing training support for quality processes and implementation
  • Experience in quality standards and processes with computer-controlled equipment
  • Experience with receiving inspection and dimensional inspection
  • Experience with the control of inspection, measuring, and test equipment for calibration, electrostatic sensitive devices (ESD), and limited life items, including shelf life
  • Active Secret clearance  
  • Completion of the AS9100 Rev D Lead Auditor course
