Civil/Mechanical Engineer, Mid

Key Role:

Plan, design, and supervise construction, maintenance, and alteration of structures and facilities, including railroads, roads, airports, bridges, harbors, channels, dam irrigation projects, pipelines, tunnels, power plants, water and sewerage systems, waste disposal units, and other facilities. Estimate personnel needs and schedule work to meet completion dates and technical specifications. Work out proposals and cost estimates, evaluate progress and results, and recommend major changes in procedures and objectives. Apply comprehensive knowledge of a particular field of specialization for the completion of complex assignments and perform cross-field work. Work under general supervision and plan, conduct, and supervise assignments. Review progress, evaluate results, and plan and assign personnel for given projects and tasks. Recommend changes in procedures, operate with substantial latitude for un-reviewed actions and decisions, and review progress with management.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience in an engineering capacity

-Experience with reviewing and making recommendations regarding collateral equipment requirements

-Knowledge of 30/60/90/100% design reviews

-Ability to develop and review Charrette, Functional Analysis Concept Development (FACD), Request for Proposal (RFP) development for Military Construction (MILCON), and Facilities Sustainment and Repair and Modernization (FSRM) projects

-Ability to coordinate, validate, and distribute design plans and specifications and project turn over documents, including as-builts, pre-construction, construction, and shop drawings, Operations and Maintenance Support Information (OMSI) documents, commissioning reports, utility one-line drawings, beneficial occupancy documents and sign-offs, and final inspection deficiency resolution

-BS degree in Civil Engineering

-Professional Engineering License required

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with supporting military clients

-MA or MS degree preferred
