Engineer, Senior

Key Role:

Review and analyze system level requirements and identify impacts to Soft Kill Coordinator System (SKCS) component level requirements and/or design specifications.  Design new SKCS component level requirements and modify existing requirements to align with system level changes and capability enhancements.  Maintain design traceability and design documentation.  Identify integration issues and system requirements discrepancies across multiple systems. Participate in design working group and technical interchange meetings.  Develop and analyze weapon system models.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience with engineering and systems engineering applied to Navy or Joint warfighting systems

  • 5+ years of experience with research, development, and test and evaluation

  • Experience with systems engineering processes regarding weapon systems requirements/concept development, weapons systems design or engineering, or systems computer program development, integration, test, and certification.

  • Experience with military standards or instructions, interface development, architectures, states and modes, functional flow diagrams, and engagement sequencing

  • Experience with Modeling and Simulation of threats, EW systems, and engagement methodologies or kill chains

  • Experience with combat system integration and system architecture

  • Secret clearance

  • BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with Navy weapons, missiles, radar, satellite programs, model software development, and tools to formulate statistical error
