Technical Editor, Senior

Key Role:

Write, edit, and manage technical documentation. Apply advanced consulting or extensive technical expertise as well as electromagnetic environmental effects (E3) knowledge. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Work without considerable direction and mentor or supervise team members, if needed. Handle classified information. 

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8 years of experience with writing, editing, and managing technical documentation for DoD applications, missions, or initiatives

  • 4 years of experience in an electromagnetic environmental effects (E3) environment, including revising or rewriting existing content, editing historical content to match new standards or guidelines, and working both independently and as part of a team to develop new content

  • Experience with the DoD Issuance Style Guide and one or more of the following style guides: AP, Chicago, APA, or MLA

  • Experience with Microsoft Office tools and applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

  • Knowledge of the handling, marking, and tracking of classified material

  • Ability to reduce or synthesize material into concise language to help users and clients fully understand content

  • Secret clearance

  • HS diploma or GED
