Military Command and Control Research Analyst

Key Role:

Identify, analyze, and evaluate complex or highly sensitive systems, processes, or solutions pertaining to strategic, operational, and tactical battle management command and control (BMC2) for worldwide operations, training, and application in the future fight. Leverage a robust background in C2 operations to assist clients’ understanding and determine courses of action applying future fight constructs such as Centralized Command, Distributed Control, Decentralized Execution, Mission Type Orders, and Agile Combat Employment, to support evolution of the Theater Air Control System (TACS). Assist greater integration of command and control, and intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance for strategic and operational planning, management, and execution conducting domestic and global operations. Conduct analysis, Course of Action recommendations, and thought leadership for BMC2 capabilities based on implications of organizational, functional, or technological changes to existing TACS weapon systems. Analyze procedures for solving complex integration, requirements, training, and analytical problems. Perform or direct operational and technical analyses. Report changes, trends, and implications regarding the design and integration of evolving systems. Prepare briefings and reports on analysis and results. Provide work leadership to junior employees, as needed. Provide subject matter expertise in support of evolving system needs, developing solutions, and interacting with internal and external stakeholders on customer needs. 

Basic Qualifications:

  • 18+ years of experience as qualified operator in the Air Force TACS, including E-3, E-8, AOC, CRC, BCC, or ASOC and TACP, or Theater Air Ground System
  • Experience with applications of Air Force BMC2 systems
  • Experience with Future Operations Planning, and Air Component integration for theater execution
  • Experience at an HQ NAF or MAJCOM level staff
  • Knowledge of Advanced Battle Management Systems (ABMS) and Joint All Domain Command and Control (JADC2) concepts
  • Ability to present complex operational and analytical information to Air Force senior leaders
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience working in Multi-Domain Command and Control issues
  • Experience with Air Operations Center functions and future developments
  • Experience with integration of Air Operations with and across multiple platforms
  • Experience with instructing
  • Experience as a Squadron Director of Operations or Commander
  • Experience as a former Senior Director or Mission Commander
  • Experience with CONOP and CONEMP development, training systems, and DoD requirements and acquisition processes
  • Knowledge of the DoD Program Objective Memorandum process
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Master's degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
