Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) Source Strategies Analyst, Mid

Key Role:

Develop geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) collection strategies in alignment with customers’ priorities to leverage and enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of collection resources and recommend collection approaches to address intelligence problems. Develop target lists for imagery collection and collaborate with others to establish technical parameters for imagery collection targets. Create tasking and dissemination requirements, adjudicate requirements, analyze and investigate collection performance, assess and report on end-to-end GEOINT system performance data, and advise customers in support of a GEOINT system. Identify information gaps, including essential elements of information (EEI) and develop alternative collection strategies to address gaps. Evaluate and recommend refinements to imagery collection requirements in the collection plan to satisfy intelligence requirements. Coordinate with stakeholders to develop, refine, and monitor collection, plan and modify collection strategies to accommodate changes and to support operations, interpret performance and stakeholder feedback, and recommend adjustments to improve collection strategy.

Basic Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience as a GEOINT collection manager or source strategies analyst (SSA), including managing geospatial information needs in GEOINT Information Management Services (GIMS)

-Knowledge of GEOINT tasking and collection processes and protocols

-Knowledge of national, commercial, and airborne GEOINT sensors and capabilities and multi-INT sources and capabilities

-Ability to work independently or as part of a team to develop GEOINT collection strategies

-Ability to collaborate with GEOINT analysts to deconstruct problems and develop effective collection approaches

-Ability to liaise with partners across the intelligence community (IC) and DoD to innovate and enable intelligence integration

-Ability to work 24/7/365 rotating shift environment

-TS/SCI clearance

-HS diploma or GED required

-Geospatial Intelligence Management System (GIMS) Certification

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience as an adjudicator in GIMS

-Experience as an imagery or geospatial analyst

-Experience with GIMS Advanced Search and Net-centric GEOINT Discovery Services (NGDS)

-Knowledge of multi-disciplinary intelligence (MDI) or event portal strategy (EPS) development

-Ability to facilitate interagency collaboration

-BA or BS degree preferred; MA or MS degree a plus
