Key Role:
Identify, qualify, and execute growth opportunities within the federal health marketplace. Identify, qualify, and grow our business opportunity pipeline to meet Booz Allen’s revenue and profit growth goals. Collaborate as an integrated team member across account leadership teams in a highly matrixed culture. Maintain responsibility for executing client call plans. Develop, deliver, and present concept papers, client briefings, formal and informal proposal responses, and other outreach efforts to qualify and inform bid no-bid decisions in support of advancing new and take-share opportunities through the entire business development lifecycle, 18 – 24 months ahead of solicitation release. Blend delivery and client relationships to drive growth and new sales channels and work alongside the leadership team and create and execute the growth strategy for the Health market.
Basic Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in a senior business development role with a major federal government contractor focused on management, technology, and life science sales
Experience managing all elements of capture and proposal lifecycle, including developing the pipeline, executing call plans, facilitating client meetings, designing teaming strategy, negotiating with team partners, and pricing and proposal development, including managing responses and writing content
Knowledge of HHS industry partners and how to develop and implement teaming strategy for specific bids
Ability to pull in a broad array of firm-wide capabilities, including IT, analytics, life sciences, cyber, and communications
Ability to integrate and tailor into a client capability briefing to help shape and influence thinking around client challenge
Ability to lead the development and institutionalization of BD processes within the Health market to drive pipeline development and qualification
Ability to coordinate the management of firm-wide intellectual capital with our marketing SMEs to help drive branding within the Health market and with prospective buyers
Ability to apply BD tools and processes, including CRM to drive efficient capture and proposal efforts
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
Bachelor’s degree
Additional Qualifications:
Knowledge of the Health market, including organizational structure, competitive landscape, and buying patterns
Ability to collaborate with Health account leadership and teams to formalize strategies, investments, landscape analyses, and capture in alignment with Health account goals and strategies
Ability to blend functional delivery with client relationships to drive growth and new sales channels
Ability to achieve wins by obtaining a complete picture of the client’s needs and communicate a winning vision for the proposal to capture team, comfort negotiating teaming agreements, and the drive to close deals
Ability to leverage the business acumen to lead government sales efforts
Possession of strong interpersonal, communication, and strategic thinking skills
Master’s degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $134,600.00 to $250,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.Work Model
