Embedded Systems Engineer, Lead

Key Role:

Lead challenging software development and systems engineering opportunities in the Aerospace market among a broad team of technical professionals. Work as a thought leader in the digital space and provide technical solutions that generate significant revenue, business, and industry performance. Serve as a results-oriented, innovative technical leader and leverage expertise to generate new solutions and applications to the U.S. Air Force and broader client community. Provide subject matter expertise in the areas of embedded systems, systems engineering, and software development. Work closely with clients to support needs around the development of new technology solutions that will address the clients’ pain points and challenges, including software systems that support mission-critical operations. This position is open to remote delivery anywhere within the U.S., to include the District of Columbia.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience as a Lead Systems Engineer supporting development of embedded systems 

  • 10+ years of experience with software languages supporting embedded systems, including C, C++, or Python

  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning capabilities, including computer vision or other anomaly detection neural networks

  • Experience with developing software for non-embedded modalities, including smartphones, desktop, and web

  • Experience with information technology systems, processes, and practices

  • Experience with software development collaboration tools, including, GitHub, Jira, and Confluence 

  • Experience with software development frameworks and platforms, including MATLAB and Simulink

  • Experience with designing and deploying solutions across cloud service providers, including AWS and Microsoft Azure

  • Experience with working in a client-facing role, including briefing, building presentations, facilitating meetings, and engaging or reaching out to key stakeholders

  • Ability to lead, inspire, and influence team members, including sponsoring technical communities of practice and mentoring junior team members

  • Master's degree

The proposed salary range for this position in Colorado is 140,000 to 170,000. Final salary will be determined based on various factors.
