Cost Analyst, Junior

Key Role:

Create complete cost estimates for US government (USG) projects, including scientific research and training, force protection measures, IT solutions, facility construction and renovation, and operations and maintenance of facilities. Conduct cost research and document results for all required elements for USG projects. Analyze and verify costs within US contractor and subcontractor cost proposals. Assist the USG with contractor selection and negotiations by performing cost realism analyses. Support project managers and technical staff with the development of project statements of work (SOWs), work breakdown structure (WBS), and pricing support efforts.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with creating cost estimates, cost research, and verifying cost proposals

-Experience with Microsoft Excel

-Experience with completing individual tasks

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint

-Ability to apply critical thinking to a wide variety of problems

-Ability to understand complex cost models

-Ability to be a self-starter and acquire expertise quickly

-Ability to comprehend and develop perspective on complex problems

-Ability to balance time across and focus efforts on most impactful activities
