Operational Assessments Analyst, Senior

Key Role:

Lead an assessments team in support of developing and maintaining a comprehensive operational assessment capability to obtain a quantitative, rational basis for decision making through the application of logic and scientific disciplines and techniques. Design, develop, and apply a variety of data collection, decision analytics, mathematical and statistical techniques, modeling and simulation, assessment frameworks, and other analytic methods combined with an understanding of irregular warfare to solve complex operational and planning challenges. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Provide actionable, clearly communicated recommendations to support client strategic planning and operational decisions. Develop operational assessment information displays, decision briefings, analytical papers, and directly support planning teams to enable operational planning and facilitate senior leadership decisions. Work without considerable direction and mentor and supervise team members. This position is located on-site in Tampa, FL with no remote delivery.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8 years of experience with developing operational assessment methodologies, indicators, metrics, and decision criteria
  • Experience with planning and supporting or conducting military operations, including building partner capacity operations and expeditionary operations
  • Experience with using automated statistical packages in support of projects, including programs, such as Microsoft Excel, Minitab, SAS®, SPSS®, or R
  • Experience with preparing and presenting senior leadership briefings
  • Knowledge of Special Operations Forces (SOF) or CENTCOM Area of Responsibility
  • Active TS/SCI clearance required
  • MS degree in Physical Science, Engineering, Operations Research, or Mathematics required

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with SOF and Joint Planning, Assessments and Operations
  • Experience with Social Network Analysis
  • Experience with analytical tools, such as Palantir or CIDNE, and mapping tools, such as ArcGIS, GeoQuest, GoogleEarth
  • Experience with Campaign Management and Campaign Assessments and Interagency
  • Possession of excellent consulting skills
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Joint Professional Military Education (JPME) II and Operations Research Systems Analysis Military Application Course (ORSA-MAC) certifications
