Business Development Solution Architect, Lead

Key Role:

Identify and shape opportunities, defining and developing highly technical and complex solutions, and achieving growth for the client. Develop and drive technical solutions through the entire business development lifecycle, including those opportunities 18 to 24 months ahead of solicitation release. Lead solution architecture activities during solution ideation, capture solution design, prototype development as necessary, and RFI or RFP responses. Establish the business case for the solution, coordinating with the pricing team, and defines the vision and requirements for the solution in conjunction with the technical team. Collaborate with the team to communicate this solution to stakeholders including the client and internal leadership.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience with a senior business development role with annual revenue and sales targets at a major federal government contractor focused on technology services sales
  • Experience with the entire business development cycle through contract award
  • Experience with one or more of the following disciplines: software development and architecture, cybersecurity, data science and analytics, or systems engineering
  • Experience with technical organization leadership, operation process, and sales and marketing across a broad range of cultures and industries
  • Experience with leading highly technical pursuits, creating and refining processes, and establishing and maintaining business relationships
  • Knowledge of engineering program management and execution
  • Knowledge of the U.S. Government's acquisition process
  • Ability to work as part of an integrated account and opportunity capture team within a matrixed organization where collaboration and a team-centric culture are paramount for success
  • Secret Clearance
  • BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with engineering design and development in an academic or professional environment
  • Possession of excellent communication skills that can be demonstrated in both public speaking and written formats and highly proficient in presentation skills
  • Possession of industry relationships with demonstrated record of success in leveraging these relationships for opportunity wins
  • Top Secret clearance preferred
