Cloud Operations Manager, Lead

Key Role:

Serve as a Cloud Operations Manager to manage support, enhancement, and stability of a large cloud platform, including managing continuous improvements and process initiatives in parallel to day-to-day business operations. Provide an essential function for coordinating upgrades, deployments, patches, and proactive monitoring in a fast-paced, dynamic environment to drive sustained business improvement. Work on unusually complex problems and provide highly innovative solutions. Operate with substantial latitude for unreviewed action or decision and mentor or supervise employees in both firm and technical competencies. Oversee and manage incident and problem management processes ensuring problems are quickly resolved. Contribute to incident root cause analysis, identifying remediation and process improvement based on the observed trend for incident processes. Build strong working relationships across multiple disciplines and teams, driving influence across the organization to ensure coordinated work completion and syndication of risks. This position is open to remote delivery anywhere within the U.S., to include the District of Columbia.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in systems administration or software development

  • 5+ years of experience with direct staff management, including the ability to effectively mentor and grow staff

  • Experience with communicating for escalating, prioritizing, and coordinating high severity incidents

  • Experience with managing projects, including business process management, customer relationship management, and content management

  • Experience with incident management and problem management processes

  • Experience with ITSM processes and procedures

  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, adjust quickly to shifting priorities, solve problems, and deal with a variety of options in complex situations

  • Ability to work with client organizations to translate business needs into a technology strategy and solution

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

  • BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience working in cloud environments, AWS is preferred

  • Experience working in the financial Industry

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, client-facing environments

  • Experience with software development life cycle processes and DevSecOps

  • Ability to demonstrate a history of successful business development, including leading and supporting proposal efforts

  • Project Management Institute certification or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

The proposed salary range for this position in Colorado is 90,000 to 120,000. Final salary will be determined based on various factors.
