Communications Specialist, Mid

Key Role:

Gather complex information and transform it into clear messaging for communicating activities to a broad audience. Analyze the communications requirements of change initiatives, performs stakeholder engagement and analysis, and develop and execute change communications plans. Analyze metrics and measurement strategies to assess the effectiveness of communication products and campaigns. Work in a fast-moving project team in the Corporate Quality Office, conduct research, writing, and analytical support to the project team for change management projects to support the team's objectives. Execute stakeholder engagement and communications and measurement plans in the field. Assist with the preparation of presentations. Maintain daily contact with quality improvement subject matter experts and regular contact with all levels of firm management and employees. 

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with professional writing in journalism, public affairs or corporate communications
  • 3+ years of experience with supporting large-scale change, including stakeholder engagement, project management, and communications

  • Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint, including creating visually compelling presentations that follow sound vertical and horizontal logic
  • Experience with image editing and creation software, including Adobe photoshop, InDesign, or Illustrator
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Project
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with transformation, change management, program management, or performance management
  • Experience with writing quality content in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment such as a public affairs office or web content service
  • Experience in working with multi-disciplinary change management teams, including change communications, process improvement, and training experts
  • Ability to gather, analyze, and translate data and information into effective communication products, develop insights, and work effectively in a team environment
