Cyber Threat Analyst, Mid

Key Role:
Support Booz Allen Hamilton's internal Global Cybersecurity Operations team through using enterprise scanning and assessment tools to identify all internally and externally facing vulnerabilities present across all systems on the Booz Allen network, including both infrastructure and Cloud and verifying mitigations are put in place. Work in an integrated team environment and leverage automated and manual vulnerability scan tools. Apply expertise in security industry that evolves with current and emerging threats, including ongoing expertise in key business and technological processes. Assist others with interpreting, comprehending, and applying information security policies and standards to mitigate information security risks. Configure and run vulnerability scans across the global enterprise by applying expertise in network topology. Maintain a current understanding of information security threats and possible impacts to the global enterprise. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

Basic Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience with system administration

-Experience with deploying or managing, SecurityCenter, or multiple Nessus scanners in a medium or large scale enterprise
-Knowledge of Windows, UNIX, and Linux operating systems
-Knowledge of basic networking protocols, including TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP/HTTPS, SSH, FTP, or DNS
-Knowledge of vulnerabilities, Cyber threats, and information security tools
-Ability to communicate with clients, employees and management effectively
-Ability to work independently

-HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience with shell scripting or programming languages, including Python, Ruby, or Perl

-Knowledge of web applications and databases and web server design and implementation
-Knowledge of open security standards and projects, including OWASP
-SANS training, including SEC460 or related certifications, including GSEC, GMON, or GCIA
-CompTIA Security+ or similar certification
