Data Engineer Architect

Key Role:

Perform data architecture planning and implementation, including database development, extract-transform-load processes and data management operations, and maintenance activities. Implement scalable and sustainable data engineering solutions using tools, including Databricks. Design database structures and author SQL queries to perform ETL operations. Develop data pipelines using big data services available in the Cloud, architect data repositories, stand up data platforms, and write custom code for data ingestion, transformation, and aggregation. Work with other members of the project team to support delivery of additional project components. Build and operationalize complex and innovative data solutions, correct problems, apply transformations, and recommend data cleansing and quality validation solutions. This position is open to remote delivery anywhere within the U.S., to include the District of Columbia.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience as a data engineer, data architect, or software engineer

  • Experience with database design

  • Experience with database implementation

  • Experience developing with APIs

  • Experience in SQL, data analysis, and data validation

  • Experience with writing code, including Python or Java

  • Bachelor’s degree

Additional Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience with developing architecture, policies, extract-transform-load data pipelines, and data models

  • 3+ years of experience with data wrangling

  • Experience in using database software, including Databricks or Snowflake

  • Experience with writing code using Python

  • Experience in using and developing with Microsoft 365 data centric products, including Dataverse or Power BI

  • Experience with Tableau and Tableau Prep

  • Knowledge of data lake design

  • Ability to communicate with multiple functional groups

  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

Final salary will be determined based on various factors. The proposed salary range for this position in Colorado is 100,000 to 130,000.
