Database Architect, Senior

The Challenge:

What if you could use your Cloud architecture skills to increase IT modernization across the federal government? We need you as a data architect as we develop Cloud-based solutions to some of our client's toughest challenges. 

View data and data management from an enterprise architecture standpoint. Translate business-oriented information requirements into technical data management solutions by analyzing and implementing enterprise data strategies for the management and sharing of data that enables more effective cross-enterprise and inter-enterprise system interoperability. Ensure enterprise data assets are governed by a comprehensive data management approach. Apply expertise in database design, data modeling, data integration, modern data implementations, Big Data tools, and data exchange standards.

You Have:

  • 7+ years of experience in an IT role

  • Experience with designing strategies for enterprise database systems and sets standards for operations, programming, and security

  • Experience with developing, validating, publishing, and maintaining conceptual and logical data models

  • Experience with database implementations, database language theories, database design, SQL, and database programming

  • Experience with custom or structured extract, transform, and load (ETL) design, implementation, and maintenance

  • Experience with working on core Amazon Web Service (AWS) capabilities, including Amazon RDS for MySQL, Amazon EC2, Amazon S3, and DynamoDB

  • Experience with unifying data from multiple sources and supporting the use of data services, including legacy technologies such as mainframes Unisys DMSII and COBOL

  • Experience with Agile methodologies

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

  • BA or BS degree

Nice if You Have:

  • AWS Cloud Certification is preferred
