Director of Purchasing

Key Role:

Lead the procurement organization and apply experience predominantly within the US government acquisition and regulatory environment. Drive and lead procurement functions with a focus on the procurement life cycle, and business optimization initiatives. Work on a wide range of complex procurement matters and leverage experience with managing and leading procurement professionals and counseling clients on related buying patterns and regulations. Provide expert advice and counsel on systems migration over to a new procurement platform.

Basic Qualifications:

-15+ years of experience with leadership in subcontracts or procurement management, including overseeing large, complex proposals and negotiations

-Experience with leading large and geographically dispersed organizations

-Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to proposal preparation, negotiations, FAR or DFAR, and other US government procurement regulations

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree or 15+ years of experience with subcontracting

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with international clients

-Possession of excellent executive-level oral and written communication skills

-Possession of strong leadership and interpersonal skills to lead a team to accomplish directed tasks and goals
