Elastic Dashboard Engineer, Senior

Key Role:

Support the design, development, and implementation of a Dashboard built on the Elasticsearch platform. Navigate the Elasticsearch dashboard to provide tier 2 or 3 level support by resolving potential issues with access, renderings, and system performance. Implement and configure out of the box Kibana visualizations. Apply data extraction and representation methodologies for data visualization. Perform Data Analysis within the Elasticsearch stack. Configure, integrate, and maintain Elasticsearch, Kibana, or Splunk applications in DOE environment. Configure, maintain, and potentially enhance data solutions and structure queries to increase or maximize system performance and efficiency. This position is open to remote delivery anywhere within the U.S., to include the District of Columbia.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with IT or software engineering

  • 2+ years of experience with hands-on development, configuration, deployment, integration, or maintenance of systems using technologies, including Kafka, Logstash, Beats, Elasticsearch, Kibana, or Splunk

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

  • HS diploma or GED

  • Completion of Python 3: A Beginner Guide to Python Programming

Additional Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience with elastic data analysis

  • 1+ years of experience with Continuous Diagnostic and Mitigation (CDM) Program

  • Knowledge of the CDM stack

  • Knowledge of site surveys, data gathering, or research and analysis pertaining to deploying and implementing security and risk management tools

  • Knowledge of executing Elasticsearch data retention and life cycle management plans

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Elastic Data Analyst Certification

The proposed salary range for this position in Colorado is 120,000 to 140,000. Final salary will be determined based on various factors.
