Employee Digital Communications Director

Key Role:

Define and deliver a digital communications strategy that informs, inspires, and engages employees to enhance culture and business impact. Transform Booz Allen’s digital communications experience for the hybrid workforce of the future. Work with vendor partners and lead a team of digital channel strategists and publishers, including editorial and visual content creators, data, CMS and UX experts, and community managers. Shape an integrated editorial operations and governance model that supports business initiatives through outcome-oriented content and channel strategy. Direct creative professionals in delivering consistent content and design concepts that align with the firm’s brand, EVP, and Purpose and Values. Establish a vision for reaching and engaging a diverse, dispersed employee population that works remotely, in Booz Allen offices, at client sites, and in a hybrid capacity. Partner with communications strategists, analytics specialists, business leaders, and ESG partners in using communications data to inform business decisions and share an understanding of content and channel performance, audience sentiment, and industry trends through quantitative and qualitative data and insights. This position is open to remote delivery anywhere within the U.S., to include the District of Columbia. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of experience with digital communications strategy and supporting technologies

  • Experience with designing, developing, and implementing an integrated communications strategy and the PESO marketing model

  • Experience with digital communications for employee audiences at all levels, including executive

  • Experience in building employee advocacy networks, including use of social media to amplify and elevate

  • Experience with communications technology solutions and implementation pilots, including employee communications mobile applications

  • Experience with content management systems and activities, including audits, distribution models, asset management, and taxonomies

  • Knowledge of integrated editorial planning and governance, social media best practices, and quantitative and qualitative communications measurement strategies

  • Ability to direct in-house and outside creative and content professionals in maintaining consistency with content standards and brand voice

  • Ability to translate complex content needs into clear, engaging narratives that make logical and emotional connections and create measurable results

  • Bachelor's degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships virtually and in a matrixed organization

  • Ability to lead teams within both direct and matrixed management environments

  • Ability to take integrated campaigns from concept to execution using data-informed decision making and effective delegation and collaboration approaches

  • Ability to work with teams to set clear objectives and meet tight deadlines

 

The proposed salary range for this position in Colorado is $190,000 to $230,000. Final salary will be determined based on various factors.
