External Communication and Employee Engagement Leader

Key Role:

Lead efforts to drive external stakeholder awareness of National Security Group (NSG) strategy and capabilities and employee awareness of NSG initiatives by strengthening our brand with external stakeholders, inside the group, across the firm, and increasing employee engagement through data driven, employee-first communications. Think boldly to develop and deliver high-touch communications plans for a wide range of initiatives and issues. Demonstrate sound judgment, exceptional communications functional expertise, and an unflappable attitude in interactions with external and internal stakeholders—from senior clients and leaders, to corporate business partners, to cross-functional teams to individual employee. Drive communications operations for Booz Allen’s NSG in coordination with a variety of business and corporate partners. Work from data to evaluate employee engagement strategies and process improvements to continue to evolve, streamline and transform communications. Oversee and ensure quality work on a wide variety of communications activities, including a variety of print and electronic media, digital content, videos, executive speeches, presentations and decks, memos, newsletters, and feature articles. Develop clear and compelling business cases for specific courses of action, communicate the benefits of change, and help stakeholders to overcome resistance to change. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

Basic Qualifications:

-15+ years of experience with leading and developing comprehensive communications, engagement, and change management strategies

-Experience with national security clients and operating environment 

-Experience with external communications and stakeholder engagement 

-Experience iwithinternal communications and employee engagement

-Experience with reputation management 

-Experience with story-telling communications to connect with the audience and drive change 

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with working in the federal government consulting industry

-Experience with brand management

-Experience in a fast paced and continuously evolving environment

-Knowledge of Booz Allen demographics and culture

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills, including communicating with clarity and transparency

-MA or MS degree in Literature, Journalism, PR, or Marketing
