Key Role:
Ensure the proper application of United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and provide transaction-oriented accounting and reporting assistance, including assistance in the development of accounting policies and preparation of technical accounting memoranda. Support periodic close and reporting procedures associated with revenue, contingency accruals, share-based payment compensation, derivatives, and non-routine transactions. Participate in the implementation of company-wide accounting policies, new accounting standards and other applicable financial reporting guidance. Interact with Booz Allen’s external auditors on highly technical and complex accounting areas. Contribute to Booz Allen’s overall system of internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, including the updating and documenting of revenue recognition process flows and controls. Monitor existing and emerging financial accounting and reporting requirements. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. Citizenship is required.
