Key Role:
Serve as a subject matter expert on environmental compliance issues affecting government facilities. Draft policy statements, standard operating procedures, fact sheets, newsletter articles, and other communications regarding current and future environmental regulations affecting the government. Develop and review applicable environmental compliance and management plans. Review National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documentation and provide facilities' project managers advice on NEPA applicability. Provide technical environmental regulatory assistance and guidance to facilitate environmental compliance with local, state and federal regulations. Conduct environmental compliance inspections, audits, and evaluations as directed by the government to ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations and Presidential executive orders, update and monitor environmental regulatory permits held by the government, and develop and conduct environmental compliance training for government employees and contractors.
Basic Qualifications
-Experience in environmental compliance issues
-Experience in reviewing National Review National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documentation
-TS/SCI with a polygraph
-HS diploma or GED
Additional Qualifications
-BA or BS degree in Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or related field preferred
Clearance:
