Full Stack Developer, Lead

The Challenge:

Are you passionate about crafting an amazing user experience? The right interface, functionality, and performance can make a system easy to use, encourage early adoption, and save time and resources. We’re looking for you, a front-end and back-end developer with data science skills who will use equal parts skill and vision to build an experience that delivers functionality and efficiency along with providing data science developer expertise in leveraging developer tools and databases to implement algorithms and logic for Artificial Intelligence (AI) concepts provided by our data science Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).

We need an experienced developer with front-end, back-end, and data science tools/systems expertise who will use their passion to be a leader on our development team to learn new tools and techniques, identify and implement system improvements, and mentor teammates. This is an opportunity to solve problems for the Enterprise Technical Risk Review (ETRR) team by collaborating with our development team and our SMEs to build tools with user centric design and functionality to meet our team’s requirements. As part of the development team, you’ll coordinate with the ETRR team, UI/UX designers, and back-end developers to create a seamless user experience using React, PostgreSQL, or other technologies. The development team will ensure accessibility for all users by developing a front-end that functions across different browsers, platforms, and devices while meeting accessibility and security requirements. With mentoring, positive code reviews, and opportunities to learn new tools and skills, we focus on growing as a team to make the best solutions for our customers. As a technical leader, you’ll identify new opportunities to build digital solutions to help ETRR meet their toughest challenges. This position is open to remote delivery anywhere within the U.S., to include the District of Columbia.

You Have:

  • 6+ years of experience with developing software using tools including React, Java, JavaScript
  • Experience with front-end and back-end development using modern frameworks, including React, PostgreSQL, Tableau, JavaScript
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies and tools, including Git or Jira
  • Experience with developing backend databases, including PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQLServer
  • Experience with interfacing with technical and management personnel at all levels
  • Experience with leading and mentoring junior developers
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • BA or BS degree

Nice If You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience with developing solutions with data intensive focus, including data warehouse, and BI or with machine learning algorithms applied to large, decentralized data sets
  • Experience with technical quality or risk management
  • Experience with Docker, Jenkins, and DevSecOps
  • Possession of excellent independent thinking and decision-making skills
  • Possession of excellent analytical, written, and oral communication skills
