GEOINT Collection Discipline Advisor, Senior

The Challenge:

Do you find yourself constantly looking for more and better information? Do you want a job where you can use your knowledge and research skills to improve national security? More connected devices, larger storage capacity, and faster connections have resulted in an explosion of available information. The problem facing the intelligence community (IC) is no longer how to get more data – it’s understanding how to turn the data they have into answers. That’s where you come in. With critical thinking and flexibility, you quickly seek out the accurate data sources, sift through the raw data, and turn it into valuable intelligence. If you have strong analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset, we have an opportunity to use those skills to protect our national security.

In this position, you’ll support the management of a geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) portfolio and engage with functional management entities for that discipline. You’ll interact with counterparts to ensure early engagement on intelligence discipline systems, operations, budgets, acquisitions, and policies. You’ll support the development and coordination of input to the IC capability requirements process and conduct in-depth, data-driven technical assessments of collection capabilities to support discipline-specific decision making. You’ll provide reach back and support to INT-specific entities to inform the development and implementation of multi-discipline intelligence collection strategies. You’ll enhance strategic collection needs identification and requirements definition activities to meet national intelligence priorities and close gaps. You’ll support the planning, facilitation, and after-action needs for community sessions and outreach initiatives to address collection matters, and partner with other agencies on strategic intelligence collection issues that cross disciplines or organizational boundaries or functional topic areas.
