IP Systems Engineer

Key Role:

Support several Virtual environments, this involves tasks from initial design through implementation and finally support. Perform a wide variety of tasks including OS and hardware installation, system configuration, and various upgrades, their hardware and infrastructure, as well as software solutions in LAN, WAN, and hybrid Cloud environments. Provide initial troubleshooting investigation as well as diagnostic testing where applicable, as well as perform corrective actions as necessary to bring about resolution of system, hardware, software, and infrastructure components. Participate in team problem–solving activities, following standard practices and procedures developed and recommended by the teammates or vendor engineers. Participate in on-call rotations.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server operating systems, support, and maintenance
  • Experience with Windows Server operating systems, support, and maintenance
  • Experience with VMware and physical server management
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
  • Bachelor's degree in IT

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with SAN technologies and Cisco UCS platform
  • Experience with scripting and Powershell
  • Knowledge of Cloud Providers, Azure, AWS, or GCP
  • Ability to comprehend instructions, as well as conduct independent research for resolution of complex issues
  • Ability to author, maintain, and update technical documentation
  • Ability to work well independently or with others in a cohesive team environment
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,400.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
