Internal Communications Professional, Senior

The Opportunity: 

Seeking an experienced internal communications professional to support a national security client. In this role, you'll support a highly visible, fast-paced office within the organization, where you'll work with senior executives and a large stakeholder network. As a member of this thriving team, you and a junior communications team member will spearhead all client communications initiatives, communicating to the client's workforce and to senior agency leadership.

You'll leverage your skills and experience to provide a range of communications support, from strategic communications planning to tactical execution and provision of steady-state communications. This includes planning for workforce engagements, town halls, and events, developing marketing campaigns for those events and leading client communications initiatives, including large-scale outreach campaigns to engage the workforce and drive acceptance of client policies. You'll use your strong writing and editing skills to create a variety of communications materials and products, such as executive communications, talking points, marketing copy, newsletter content, human-interest stories about the workforce, and web site content. Depending on the task at hand, you must be able both to work independently and contribute to the team in a collaborative, creative environment.

You Have:   

  • 10+ years of experience in communications, public relations, or marketing

  • Experience planning and executing communications strategies

  • Experience writing and editing a variety of content types, from executive communications and talking points to web copy and podcast scripts

  • Ability to work professionally with senior leaders, respond quickly to changing priorities, and fulfill late-breaking requirements

  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

  • Bachelor's degree

 

Nice If You Have:   

  • Experience with consulting, including government consulting

  • Experience with event planning and execution

  • Experience running large-scale change communications campaigns

  • Knowledge of content management systems, including Joomla and WordPress

  • Knowledge of client communications channels and vehicles

  • Master's degree

Clearance:

 Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
