Litigation Paralegal

Key Role:

Perform a variety of tasks under the direction of the company’s litigation team attorneys which sit within the company’s legal department. Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, support the management of outside counsel and lead various legal processes. Support the Litigation Team’s management of complex litigation, records retention projects, legal holds and transactional matters. Conduct filings in ECF systems, draft EPCRA reports and forms in advance of attorney review, and manage a docketing system. Support the Company’s Litigation Team by managing administrative tasks such as site administration for Counsel Link and SharePoint, as well as vendor management support. Leverage strict attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication skills and establish and maintain good working relationships with key stakeholders and clients, both internally and externally. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a paralegal at a law firm or as part of an in-house legal team
  • Experience with drafting legal documents
  • Experience with using Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to work independently and successfully manage a high-volume and diverse workload consisting of a wide variety of administrative tasks while meeting short deadlines with minimal manager supervision
  • Ability to influence, inform, and problem solve with senior leaders and staff throughout the organization
  • Ability to perform litigation administration duties, including uploading documents to SharePoint sites
  • Ability to effectively manage programs for identified projects to efficiently create, execute, and monitor project plans, schedules, deliverables, metrics and communications for projects
  • Ability to learn new technology, tools and platforms, and act as a resource to teach others
  • Bachelor's degree

Additional Qualifications

  • Experience with EPCRA reports preferred
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
