Performance Engineer, Senior

The Challenge:

When a user tries new software, they expect it to be intuitive and run smoothly. Functionality, reliability, and user experience are key to successful software development, and that means rigorous testing. That’s why we need you, an experienced performance test engineer who knows how to thoroughly test software and work with developers to make sure our team releases the best software possible. 

As a performance engineer on our team, you’ll work with Agile teams to evaluate software. You’ll analyze performance test results and contribute to performance test results. You’ll generate data and execute the test cases to see how the software performs, then document the results and communicate defects to the development team so they can start improving the tool. You’ll also further your experience in Scaled Agile delivery, cloud, DevOps, and COTS software platforms. This position is a hybrid role with a combination of working at a Booz Allen office or client site and working remotely.

You Have:

  • 5+ years of experience with performance engineering in design, development, and performance testing
  • Experience in Agile development, Sprints, Story Reviews, Scrum, and DevOps
  • Experience with analyzing performance test results and contributing to performance test reports
  • Knowledge of performance monitoring tools, including AppInternals, AppDynamics, or Splunk
  • Ability to establish a baseline capacity before and after critical upgrades of infrastructure, configuration, and code
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Knowledge of test-driven development techniques
  • Ability to develop automated test scripts using Selenium or similar test automation tools
  • Agile or Testing Certification

Salary for this position is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, location, the candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract specific affordability and organizational requirements. The proposed salary range for this position is outlined below.

Colorado: $79,000 - $165,100 (annualized USD)

New York (including New York City): $83,900 - $201,700 (annualized USD)
