Position Management Specialist

The Opportunity:

Are you passionate about helping organizations select and manage talent effectively? Are you looking for an opportunity to help modernize government services to increase mission focus? You will use your expertise in workforce transformation, client consulting, and strategic human resource management to examine complex organizations through an innovation perspective. You will work without considerable direction and may mentor or supervise team members.

You will be regularly asked to apply problem solving expertise to help analyze workforce policies, procedures, and tools to support transformation efforts for the Federal Government. You will consult government leaders on talent management and make recommendations for improving human capital and change management practices.

You Have:

  • 5+ years of of experience with talent management or human resources in support of the Federal Government

  • 2+ years of experience with position management activities in support of the Federal Government

  • Experience with supporting medium-large, dispersed client organizations and delivering high-quality client service in a fast-paced and unpredictable environment

  • Experience planning, designing, and implementing effective position management practices that align to Merit System Principles (5 USC § 2301)

  • Experience with change management principles and practices specifically as it pertains to organizational structure changes

  • Experience determining appropriate span of control among supervisors in organizational units by weighing the costs and benefits of a resulting structure

  • Experience working with leadership to assess the effectiveness of organizational structures and clearly delineate roles and responsibilities among employees

  • Knowledge of employee engagement best practices and strategies to ensure career mobility and career pathways

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience conducting job analyses and competency models

  • Experience with process improvement, strategic recruiting, culture change, or mid-to-large-scale transformation

  • Experience working with and analyzing HR data

  • Knowledge, background, and understanding of ServiceNow procedures as it relates to human resources

  • Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Master's degree

  • Human Capital, Human Resource, Process Improvement, or Project Management certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $73,100.00 to $166,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
