Key Role:
Research and negotiate major organizational indirect spend contracts and procurements. Apply specific functional knowledge and working general industry knowledge to develop and contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Assist in category management and strategic sourcing efforts supporting the firm’s internal procurement needs, as assigned. Collaborate with stakeholder teams across Booz Allen to execute purchasing strategies. Coordinate sourcing and contracting activities, including spend analysis, market research, competitive solicitations, supplier evaluations, cost analysis, and negotiation of terms and conditions. Provide support in resolving supply chain issues and develop client relationships to drive client engagement. Work independently with some guidance and review or guide activities of more junior employees. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required. This position is a hybrid role with a combination of working at a Booz Allen office or client site and working remotely.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience working with multiple suppliers, including identification and sourcing of authorized goods and services and creating and facilitating a Request for Quotation (RFQ) or Request for Proposal (RFP)
Ability to negotiate complex contractual terms with multiple suppliers to mitigate risks and achieve preferred terms for the firm
Ability to develop or participate in the development of the overall procurement strategy for a product category
Ability to establish price analysis
HS diploma or GED
Additional Qualifications:
Experience working in procurement, category management, or buyer roles
Experience with Procure-to-Pay/Source-to-Settle applications
Knowledge of general Procurement standards and practices
Ability to work independently
