QA Technical Editor

Key Role:

Work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment both independently and collaboratively, supporting cross-functional workstreams that provide cybersecurity solutions to multiple government agencies. Edit program documents, technical guides, reports, presentations, and other client deliverables to meet program requirements and client expectations. Work with various project management and cyber solution teams to understand functional and technical information and requirements. Use technical editing and writing skills, and expertise in Microsoft Office products, and analyze complex information and present it in a format that is easy to read and understand while applying firm, client, and industry standards to create consistent, high-quality documents for on-time client deliveries. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience as a Technical Writer or Editor
  • Experience writing manuals or government documentation
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams
  • Knowledge of 508 accessibility requirements for documentation
  • Ability to proofread documentation for errors and make necessary corrections in a timely manner
  • Ability to organize information within a document in a structured and legible format
  • Ability to communicate regularly with teammates and outline needs as well as roadblocks for document creation and editing
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience leading solutioning meetings to pull in perspectives
  • Experience ensuring documents are organized in the proper locations on a cloud-based repository
  • Experience writing requirements, test plans, and test cases
  • Experience with business process improvement
  • Bachelor's degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $65,300.00 to $149,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
