RMF Analyst, Senior

The Opportunity:

As an experienced senior RMF Analyst you’ll work with the Veterans Affairs (VA) to discover and mitigate their cybersecurity risks, understand, and apply policies to address requests for information on cybersecurity best practices, support and understand ATO activities for RMF steps 0-6, and provide expertise to ensure the appropriate operational security posture is maintained across the enterprise for information systems.  You’ll be a part of a high-performing IT Security team for the management of the VA’s overall portfolio.

This is a risk management role that involves working with eMASS, collecting, reviewing, and updating IT security requirements.  You’ll assist the team lead in creating project milestones, action item tracking, producing project-related briefing slides, conducting research, developing SOPs, technical writing and editing, and performing administrative duties.  You’ll assist with the creation of executive leadership-level communications and ensure coordination within the team.  This position is open to remote delivery anywhere within the U.S., to include the District of Columbia.

You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience with implementing data security measures

  • Experience monitoring networks and user access

  • Experience performing vulnerability and risk assessments

  • Experience performing security updates (STIGS)

  • Experience with cybersecurity, risk management, or risk assessment for complex systems

  • Knowledge of NIST 800 Series Publications and Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) and Federal Information System Controls Audit

  • Ability to apply analytical and technical skills

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or an Engineering field and 5+ years of experience working in a professional environment or 15+ years of experience working in a professional environment in lieu of a degree

  • Experience in collaborating with various teams

  • Ability to pay strict attention to detail

  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • CISSP or PMP certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $73,100.00 to $166,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
