Security Solutions Engineer, Mid

The Opportunity:

As a Security Solutions Engineer, you will be part of the team responsible for the capability review, design and build, implementation, and integration of security capabilities. In this role, you will be working with the cross functional teams within Booz Allen Hamilton’s globally converged security strategy, which will in turn drive the future security roadmap for Booz Allen Hamilton’s enterprise protection model, product security protection programs and go-to-market platform protection models. You will report up to the Senior Manager for Cyber Solutions Engineering and tactically implement the strategic direction defined by the Director of Cyber Technology.

You'll collaborate with other Information Technology professionals within Booz Allen Hamilton to collect information and evaluate capabilities, formulate test plans, and provide proposed solutions. Identify, collaborate, and engineer cyber risk out of the environment. You will manage overall project objectives and milestones while serving as the technical lead for strategic initiatives and projects from inception to delivery. You'll provide ongoing status to include any associated concerns, risks, issues, or dependencies that may impact delivery. You will provide subject matter expertise to ensure security is being incorporated into technology solutions and ensure they are meeting our current standards and requirements. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

You Have:

·       Experience with designing and providing support for the implementation of technical security programs, including people, process, and technology to mitigate security threats and risks that may impact the business through a holistic global program-oriented approach

·       Experience with providing detailed specifications for proposed technical solutions, including resources needed, timeline, and scope involved

·       Experience with designing and installing customized software and hardware solutions

·       Experience with developing cloud-based or cloud native solutions

·       Knowledge of best practices regarding system security measures and how to implement them at a business-wide level

·       Knowledge of advanced systems or network administration

·       Ability to assist other IT engineers with creating practical demonstrations of proposed solutions and present analysis and findings to peers and leadership

·       Ability to conduct proactive research to analyze security weaknesses and recommend appropriate strategies

·       Bachelor’s Degree or 3+ years of experience with designing and providing support for the implementation of technical security capabilities

·       Knowledge of industry standards and frameworks

·       Ability to communicate technical concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical teams

·       Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills to influence without authority

·       Possession of excellent organizational direction, analytical, time management, problem-solving, prioritization, goal setting, ownership, motivation, negotiation, and interpersonal relationship skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $81,800.00 to $186,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
