Site Reliability Engineer, Mid

Key Role:

Introduce large enterprises and agencies with the assistance of developing more robust systems by building resilient infrastructure. Administer in redundancy, implement monitoring tools, and automate wherever possible. Update toil by scripting routine tasks and automating self-repair. Focus skills on the global move towards automating everything and leveraging market-leading tools while continuing to grow engineering experience. This position is open to remote delivery anywhere within the U.S., to include the District of Columbia.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience as a site reliability engineer

  • 1+ years of experience building and supporting production systems in AWS

  • 1+ years of experience with scripting languages to automate tasks, including Bash, Python, or PowerShell

  • Experience with GitLab

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code, including AWS CloudFormation or Terraform

  • Experience designing high availability and resiliency architectures for cloud infrastructure, including failover, clustering, disaster recovery, blue-green deployment, and site reliability engineering

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with container and orchestration solutions, including Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift

  • Experience with serverless technologies, including AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, and Google Cloud Functions

  • Experience with APIs and Web services, including REST and SOAP

  • Experience with application, network, and infrastructure performance monitoring and analysis

  • Knowledge of secure systems development practices, including principle of least privilege, secrets management, static code analysis, and artifact management

  • Knowledge of Cybersecurity concepts, including threats, vulnerabilities, security operations, encryption, boundary defense, auditing, authentication, and supply chain risk management

  • Knowledge of secure configuration guidelines, including DoD STIGs and CIS benchmarks

  • Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies

  • Secret clearance

  • AWS SysOps Administrator, Developer, or DevOps Engineer Certification

The proposed salary range for this position in Colorado is 120,000 to 140,000. Final salary will be determined based on various factors.
