Software Engineer, Lead

The Challenge:

Are you looking for an opportunity to not just develop software, but to provide innovative solutions that directly impact fellow man? As a full-stack developer, you can solve a problem with a complete end-to-end solution in a fast-paced, agile environment. We’re looking for a developer with the advanced skills needed to build sites that are user friendly, work on mobile devices, and can scale to handle millions of people.

This role is more than just coding. We need a developer who will use their passion to learn new tools and techniques and identify and implement system improvements. Using Agile development in a Cloud environment, you’ll work with the development team to build an advanced microservices platform for a large federal client. You’ll analyze the needs and the environment to make sure the solution you’re developing considers the current architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements. Join us as we build systems to change our client’s applications for the better. This position is open to remote delivery from any location in the U.S., to include the District of Columbia.

Empower change with us.

Join us. The world can’t wait.

You Have:

  • 10+ years of overall experience architecting, designing, developing, and modernizing IT solutions

  • 6+ years of experience with back-end technologies, including Java, Python, or another relevant OOP language, and single-page front-end technologies, including Angular, React, or Vue.js

  • 5+ years of experience with Linux, Shell scripting, Python or Bash scripting, or RESTful APIs

  • 3+ years of experience working in a cloud environment, including AWS, GCP, or Azure

  • 3+ years with continuous integration (CI) or continuous deployment (CD) pipelines in public or hybrid cloud environments using technologies such as Jenkins, GitLab, Apache Subversion, Ansible, Puppet, and AWS CloudForms

  • Experience working with a relational database, including PostgreSQL, or Oracle

  • Experience with application design and development, back-end database architectures, relational or cloud-based, and full life cycle software development

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with creating DevOps processes, including CI/CD pipelines

  • Experience with AWS cloud environment management and lifecycles, especially with services such as ECS, EC2, and RDS

  • Experience with test automation frameworks for systems modernization efforts using integrated DevSecOps toolchains and test-driven development practices

  • Experience with domain driven architectures and design and development of microservices-based solutions

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

The proposed salary range for this position in Colorado is 140,000 to 160,000. Final salary will be determined based on various factors.
