Software Engineer

The Opportunity:

Are you looking for an opportunity to not just develop software, but to build a system that will have a positive impact on a large-scale government system? As a full-stack developer, you can solve a problem with a complete end-to-end solution in a fast-paced, agile environment. We’re looking for a developer with the skills needed to build analyst tools from vision to production-ready systems.

This role is more than just coding. We need a full-stack developer who will use their passion to learn new tools and techniques to identify and implement system improvements using Java, C#, .NET, RESTful and XML. You’ll work with the development team to build analyst tools and analyze the needs and the environment to make sure the solution you’re developing considers the architecture and operating environment as well as future functionality and enhancements. Work with us as we build systems to change the DoD for the better. This position is open to remote delivery anywhere within the U.S., to include the District of Columbia.

You Have:

  • Experience with software development using software languages 

  • Experience with JavaScript, Java, or C#

  • Experience with RESTful or XML  

  • Knowledge of version control systems 

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite, including Outlook and Excel  

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

  • HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with working in an Agile development environment 

  • Experience with Broadcom Rally, Jira, or Confluence 

  • Experience with automated testing, including JUnit, Selenium, or JMeter 

  • Knowledge of Cloud computing services, including Amazon Web Services, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform  

  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills 

  • Possession of excellent teamwork skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $49,800.00 to $102,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
