System Center Configuration Manager Engineer

Key Role:

Work as a Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) lead engineer focusing on a client health and patch delivery. Provide senior-level support for SCCM, compliance reporting, and software distribution and management on the corporate desktop, and perform planning, design, and implementation of corporate Windows image and application upgrades and rollouts. Work closely with other IT engineering and operations teams in support of the enterprise Windows environment and provide systems and OS support for a large enterprise application portfolio. Research, evaluate, and recommend emerging desktop technologies, capabilities, solutions, and improvements to desktop life cycle. Provide troubleshooting and engineering analysis to ensure the proper operation and performance of customer products and services. Conduct engineering analysis, ensure the quality of service to the organization's customers, and solve complex problems, working under consultative direction. Apply advanced principles, theories, and concepts to job assignments and contribute to the development of new ideas and principles.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with Microsoft SCCM administration and patch deployment, management, and reporting

-Experience in a medium to large professional environment

-Experience with SCCM 2012 Infrastructure Design and troubleshooting all aspects of configuration manager effectively

-Experience managing a configuration manager implementation in the client\server components and feature sets

-Experience with configuration manager disaster recovery planning and execution

-Knowledge of the product flow encompassing software distribution, patch management, operating system deployment, and logging in detail

-Knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL), Internet Information Services (IIS), Windows Server Update Services (WSUS), and Active Directory (AD) and troubleshooting as it pertains to configuration manager

-Knowledge of the fundamentals of Windows management instrumentation (WMI) and how it is utilized by the configuration manager

-Knowledge of standard client/server, networking, and internet fundamentals

-HS Diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with automated deployment to networked workstations

-Experience with scripting and automation tools

-Experience with configuration and change management process and documentation

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Possession of excellent customer service skills

-BA or BS degree in CS, Information Systems, or Engineering

-CompTIA A+ IT Technician Certification
