Systems Engineer

Key Role: 

Play a key role as part of a corporate technical team supporting and managing internal Booz Allen macOS endpoints using Jamf Pro. Conduct macOS platform engineering tasks, including patch deployment, designing and building policies, and creating and managing configuration profiles. Create and edit scripts in bash and zsh, conduct reporting analytics, and provide Tier III technical support for Apple computer systems. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience with managing and supporting Apple devices, including macOS, iOS, or iPadOS

  • Experience with using Jamf Pro and advanced management tools 

  • Experience with CLI 

  • Experience with troubleshooting in macOS

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Services

 

Additional Qualifications: 

  • Experience with UNIX permissions and scripting

  • Experience with privilege management a plus

  • Experience with smart cards and multi-factor authentication a plus 

  • Knowledge of basic networking technologies, including LAN, WAN, and wireless, Apple Open Directory, Microsoft Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Conditional Access, Privilege Rights Management, Bonjour, TCP/IP, DNS, Windows, such as NetBIOS and WINS, and 802.11 wireless and 802.1x certificate authentication

  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Apple Certifications, including ACSP or ACMT

  • Jamf 300 Certification - 400 is a plus

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,400.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
