Technical Editor, Mid

Key Role:

Support the Growth Office in preparing proposal responses in accordance with established templates and government style guides and editing materials to ensure all deliverables are appropriately formatted, grammatically correct, and align with the client’s expectations and business needs. Collaborate with Growth Team members, including Capture Managers, Proposal Managers, Growth Operations, Solutions Consultants, Market teams that serve target customer agencies, and technical subject matter experts in the Technical and Innovation Teams. Apply editorial styles and standards consistently and appropriately across multiple proposal volumes with rigorous attention to detail. This position is open to remote delivery anywhere within the U.S., to include the District of Columbia.

Basic Qualifications:  

  • Experience in identifying, questioning, and correcting grammatical and punctuation errors, faulty sentence construction, or ambiguous and conflicting statements or information

  • Experience with Office 365

  • Knowledge of proposal development process and techniques

  • Ability to ensure that written text is concise, consistent, and both grammatically and factually correct

  • Ability to work independently, collaboratively, prioritize tasks and work comfortably on deadline-driven proposal efforts with the capability

  • Ability willingness to work extended hours to complete tasks when needed

  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable to frequently changing tasks based on client priorities

  • Ability to provide a writing sample

  • Bachelor's degree

Additional Qualifications:  

  • Knowledge of adhering to brand management guides & DOD writing style guides  

  • Ability to communicate with senior leaders to inform strategic direction

Salary for this position is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, location, the candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract specific affordability and organizational requirements. The proposed salary range for this position is outlined below.

Colorado: $55,120 - $115,110 (annualized USD)

New York (including New York City): $58,565 - $140,690 (annualized USD)
