CMMC Technical Specialist, Lead

Key Role:

Act as the technical Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) subject matter expert (SME) while working with clients on consulting and preparation services or assessment compliance activities. Provide supplementary leadership and aid in strategy development for the growth and scale of the CMMC team and broader Cybersecurity Compliance Team. Work with respected and experienced leaders and staff and directly with our clients to help them assess their cybersecurity posture and improve the effectiveness of their security controls. Lead client delivery and execution with a growing team of Cyber Assessors, Cyber Strategists, and Risk Management professionals. Work with clients across a variety of industry verticals, including energy, high-tech, manufacturing, and transportation. Assume responsibility for the successful execution and delivery of cyber assessments, including CMMC, FedRAMP, and NIST. Lead a team of assessors to refine and apply Booz Allen’s cyber assessment capabilities and solutions to address each client’s strategic, operational, and regulatory assessment needs while partnering with the Cybersecurity Compliance team. Ensure that all deliverables are of the highest quality, and that tasks are executed in accordance with established schedules and budgets. Work with Account Managers and Capability and Market leaders to build relationships with clients and identify future opportunities for capture at strategic clients.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience executing cybersecurity assessments and audits against common industry frameworks, including NIST RMF, NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, CMMC, and FedRAMP
  • Experience leading and managing teams, including financial management and career development teams
  • Experience conducting security control assessments against industry frameworks, including NIST RMF, NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, CMMC, and FedRAMP to determine compliance against the standard and reviewing system security configurations as they pertain to security control baselines
  • Experience with the review of policies and procedures to meet cybersecurity compliance against NIST RMF, NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, CMMC, and FedRAMP, including System Security Plans (SSPs) and Plans of Actions and Milestones (POA&Ms)
  • Experience authoring technical reports, presentations, briefs based on performed assessments and audits, and thought leadership articles, blogs, or studies
  • Experience leading projects from inception through completion
  • Ability to travel as required
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Science
  • Completion of Certified CMMC Assessor (CCA) Training Course

Additional Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience working with information security or information technology
  • Experience with Windows or Linux system administration
  • Experience with Cloud Security
  • Experience administering and assessing network devices and security
  • Ability to be dedicated, innovative, and resourceful, and work under pressure
  • Ability to lead an efficient, innovative, and team-oriented work environment
  • Possession of excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • CISSP, CAP, GSEC, Security+, CISM, or CISA Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,600.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
