Unified Communications Operations Lead

The Opportunity: 

Booz Allen is looking for a Unified Communications (UC) Operations lead to join our team in support of our global voice, video, and meetings infrastructure. The successful candidate will lead the team that is responsible for UC hardware, applications, and general user support for all Booz Allen staff globally. You’ll be offered the opportunity to utilize significant experience in the UC and Information Technology (IT) fields to include VoIP, Teleconferencing, VTC, and collaboration technology support. You’ll collaborate with other Booz Allen staff organizations to provide support and technical input on UC technologies throughout the project lifecycle. You’ll work directly with the UC team and other IT engineers to analyze and resolve site and customer UC issues. You will lead the team’s ongoing service delivery improvement efforts and provide input on the overall user experience strategy. You’ll be provided training opportunities to learn new skills, maintain a high level of industry knowledge, and should be able to pass that training on to others. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

You Have: 

  • 8+ years leading a team of technical support resources, including Tier I and II
  • 5+ years working in a direct customer service role including Executive level support
  • 5+ years of experience supporting UC communications solutions including voice, video, meetings, and the supporting infrastructure
  • 5+ years of experience with real time video support, including Streaming, meeting, or VTC
  • 5+ years of experience supporting UC/AV hardware including Cisco and Microsoft
  • 2+ years of experience supporting Microsoft Teams Rooms
  • 2+ years of experience working with an enterprise ticketing system
  • Ability to analyze technical data quickly and communicate with others to resolve issues
  • HS Diploma or GED

Nice If You Have: 

  • Experience with Cisco CUCM or related VOIP based phone systems
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams meetings or general event support
  • Experience with technical project management for large enterprise initiatives

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,600.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
