Network Security Engineer/Architect

Key Role:

Work with Fortune 100 clients across a broad range of commercial markets, including financial services, healthcare, energy, consumer products, high-tech, pharmaceuticals, and automotive to implement and achieve their Cybersecurity objectives. Leverage working knowledge of security and security tool technologies to improve the security posture. Provide leadership and guidance in identifying current tool capabilities and improvements that can be applied to their configuration through configuration tuning or improved processes, using the People, Process, and Technology methods. Leverage working knowledge of monitoring tools, analysis tools, and detection methodologies and respond to Cyber events and incidents. Provide advice on an integrated, dynamic Cyber defense and leverage Cybersecurity solutions to deliver Cybersecurity operational services, through Cybersecurity tools, including firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS), proxies, load balancers, and next gen firewalls. Work with clients on methodologies to test, implement, deploy, and operate the Cybersecurity infrastructure tools to manage the organization’s Cybersecurity operational services effectively. Provide work leadership for junior employees.

Basic Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience with the administration of Checkpoint Firewalls

-Experience with designing and implementing security solutions for network access or admission control

-Experience with the design and implementation of Checkpoint FW/IPS Gaia

-Experience with firewall analyzer tools to perform policy optimization, risk analysis and change monitoring

-Experience with conducting discoveries and assessments of global network infrastructure

-Ability to travel up to 75% of the time

-HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with working for consulting firms

-Experience in working with diverse technical aspects of Cybersecurity

-Experience with information security regulations or regulatory bodies, including PCI-DSS, HIPAA, SOX, or GLBA

-Knowledge of information security program frameworks, including ISO 27001/2, COBIT, or NIST

-Cisco CCNA or Cisco CCNP/CCIE Certification preferred

-Citrix NetScaler SDWAN or Talari Certification a plus

-CompTIA Security+ Certification
