Database Administrator

We’re looking for a systems administrator who can specialize as a Configuration Manager with a solid background with DoD and specifically Air Force networks. This person will work closely with our Cybersecurity Team and equipment specialists tracking software licenses and hardware warranties to complement the operations and configuration of the network.

As a systems administrator on our project, you’ll ensure the current infrastructure is functional and available, constantly look for ways to make the infrastructure better using the latest technology and the best implementation strategies, update and patch critical systems. You’ll help customers overcome tough challenges through monitoring and performance management. Your technical expertise will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission critical network. Your experience and communication skills will come in handy as you turn metrics into information and communicate their meaning. You Have:

  • 2 years of experience with designing and developing changes or modifications to programs when conflicting requirements are found, which may result in complex problems for the user, and providing alternatives when existing methods fail to resolve conflicts
  • 2 years of experience with designing the physical structure of complex databases considering such things as access methods, frequency of access, storage media, data volatility, and search strategies to be employed, and designing and modifying storage structure and mapping between database functions to improve efficiency and reliability
  • Knowledge of a broad range of systems analysis concepts, techniques, and principles sufficient to evaluate business practices and processes, evaluate the feasibility of systems development projects, and develop functional requirements and specifications
  • Knowledge of complex data management concepts, principles, and methods sufficient to evaluate the effectiveness of systems, develop and design programs, and to conduct performance-testing activities to optimize processes
  • Knowledge of applications software development and design concepts and techniques sufficient to design, develop, code, test, and debug large and complex programs.
  • Knowledge of software programming languages, including Ada, C, C++, COBOL, JAVA, FORTRAN, PASCAL, and Visual Basic
  • Ability to design, develop, test, evaluate, install, and fine-tune IT programs
  • Ability to implements strategic data planning practices by structuring data and applications independently to allow data sharing across functions and among using organizations
  • Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED
