Cloud Data Architect, Senior

Key Role:

Work as a data engineer with a team to design and implement solutions for complex deployments in the cloud, on-premises, or hybrid environments using any of the major Cloud providers. Participate in architecture reviews of complex IAAS, PAAS, and SASS, and on-prem resource usage by the client. Provide input on proper deployment of services and applications used in Amazon Web Services deployments. Design and deploy data ingest, storage, and analytic solutions using distributed technologies at scale. Collaborate with different teams and projects leveraging existing Booz Allen IP and mentor other individuals on big data deployments and technologies. This position is open to remote delivery anywhere within the U.S., to include the District of Columbia. This position will require travel of up to 70% of the time to client sites.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience with big data application design and deployments

  • 2+ years of experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform

  • 3+ years of experience in programming with Java or Python

  • Experience with design and implementation of complex systems involving data storage, movement, and data science

  • Experience with distributed message queues, including Kafka

  • Experience with implementing loosely coupled architectures

  • Ability to travel up to 70% of the time

  • HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of DevOps principles

  • Ability to collaborate with others effectively

  • Ability to learn new concepts and technologies quickly

The proposed salary range for this position in Colorado is 100,000 to 140,000. Final salary will be determined based on various factors.
