Air Operations Defense Analyst

Key Role:

Apply expertise in recent, relevant operational Air Force fighter aviation to drive quality client service. Identify, analyze, and evaluate complex or highly sensitive systems, policies, processes and capabilities related to combat airpower and operations including organize, train and equip functions of the USAF. Solves complex design, integration and analytical problems for clients. Perform or direct detailed technical analysis. Report changes, trends, and implications regarding design and integration of evolving systems, technologies, capabilities, and concepts. Prepare briefings and reports on task planning, analysis methodology, and results. Provide work leadership to junior employees. This position requires the ability to travel to critical DoD operational Air Force locations for both data collection, analysis, and reporting functions.


Basic Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of experience in USAF fighters and C2 weapon systems with command at the squadron or group level
  • Knowledge of the Air and Space Operations Center (AOC), Air Support Operations Group (ASOG), Air Support Operations Center (ASOC), or Tactical Air Control Party (TACP)
  • Ability to travel to critical DoD operational USAF locations
  • Secret clearance
  • BA or BS degree
  • Graduate of Air Command and Staff, Air War College or sister service professional education course
  • Aeronautical rating, including Pilot, Navigator, or Air Battle Manager

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with USAF test and evaluation organizations, processes, and methodologies
  • TS/SCI
  • Program Management Professional (PMP) Certification
