Defense Professional Expert

Key Role:

Assist with the integration of client construction project tools to develop an Enterprise Resource Management capability for a client's construction teams. Apply subject matter expertise and analytical support to the development of guidelines, procedures, and tools and applications to ensure the ability to efficiently track and mange client construction projects from inception to completion. Interface with Navy personnel to capture system requirements and assist a development team with interpreting them into system capabilities. Apply knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of construction planning and management to develop an integrated capability that would be user friendly to the crew leader, supervisors, unit leadership and higher headquarters personnel. This position is a full-time opportunity located in Norfolk, VA.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience with planning, executing and managing Navy Construction projects
  • Experience as a Crew Leader and Crew supervisor for Navy Construction Forces
  • Experience with Navy Tactical Reference Publication (NTRP) 4-04.2.5 Construction Project Management
  • Experience with the suite of Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
  • Ability to interact with clients
  • Active Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with estimating Construction projects
  • Experience with Navy Tactical Reference Publication (NTRP) 4-04.2.3 Construction Estimating
  • Experience as a Military Liaison Officer for a Navy Construction unit
  • Experience with COMFIRSTNCDINST 4400.3A Seabee Supply Manual
  • Experience on a Navy Construction Regiment or Navy Construction Group staff
  • Ability to work in a fast–paced environment and collaborate with a large team
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Possession of excellent organizational skills, including strict attention to detail
