Fleet Experimentation Planner and Space Systems Analyst

The Opportunity:

As a fleet experimentation technical analyst, you’ll bring your leadership, experiences, and background to collaborate with thought leaders in Naval operations and analysis at the tactical and operational levels on projects supporting the Navy's warfighting improvement. You’ll use your skills as you research, plan, examine, and analyze fleet experimentation initiatives and events.

Work with us to help support Navy warfighting capability development by working as a planner and technical analyst for fleet experimentation initiatives and events ashore and afloat. You will perform experimentation planning and design, execution and control, analysis, and reporting of fleet experiments conducted as shore-based war games, tabletop exercises, workshops, afloat limited objective experiments, Fleet Battle Experiments, and Fleet and Joint exercises, applying knowledge of Navy tactical and tactical level operations with a focus on space system operations and capabilities. You will develop multiple experimentation plan products, such as experiment baseline assessments and experiment control plans, contributing to data collection and analysis plans, and information and knowledge management plans. You will also participate in experiment execution ashore and afloat in accordance with the experiment plan, performing as the experimentation planner and experimentation initiative lead. Following experiment execution, you will participate in the development of post-experiment summaries and final experiment reports, supporting analysis in preparing presentations and reports that summarize experiment results, identify findings, and corresponding recommendations to Navy leadership.

You Have:  

  • 8+ years of experience in Surface Warfare, Anti-Submarine Warfare, Air Warfare, Missile Defense, Mine Warfare, Space Systems Operations, and Information Warfare at the tactical and operational levels of war
  • Experience with using Microsoft Office
  • Ability to balance multiple taskings and maintain strict attention to detail
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
  • Ability to meet the Navy's physical requirement to embark on a U.S. Navy ship as needed
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in MIS, Engineering, Astronomy, Aerospace, Physical Sciences, or Mathematics

Nice If You Have:  

  • Experience in space operations, including space situational awareness, satellite communications, offensive and defensive space control, precision navigation and timing, and the space operational environment 
  • Experience on a Naval staff, either a numbered Fleet headquarters, Naval Type Commander, carrier or expeditionary strike group staff, or Naval tactical training group staff
  • Experience working at a Naval Warfighting Development Center
  • Knowledge of military experimentation or Navy Fleet Experimentation analysis and assessment processes
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

Clearance:  

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $58,300.00 to $133,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
