RedHat Linux System Administrator

The Challenge:

With so much relying on complex systems, a skilled systems administrator can be the difference that makes a project successful. We’re looking for a systems administrator with a solid background in RedHat Linux to help us maintain the infrastructure of a DoD client. 

As a systems administrator on our project, you’ll perform Linux system administration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and configuration. You’ll provide your customers with insight into their network through monitoring and performance management. Your technical expertise will be vital as you evaluate and recommend new web component-related software and tools. We focus on growing as a team, so you’ll share your expertise through leadership and mentoring as you help the team to work through challenges and develop new methodologies. As a technical leader, you’ll identify new opportunities to modernize the network to help your customers meet their needs. You Have:

-Experience with performing Linux system administration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and configuration

-Experience with Linux system log review and reporting

-Experience with Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) and Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) and hardening a standalone RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) server

-Ability to run Nessus Scans and export Nessus results

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

-Security+ CE Certification

-Linux+ Certification

Nice If You Have:

-Experience with database administration, including MariaDB preferred

-Ability to research and supply a cost-effective COA for a compatible backup solution

-RedHat Linux Certification


Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
