DevOps Engineer and Appian Administrator, Senior

The Challenge:

As a Appian Administrator - Software Factory DevOps Engineer on our team, you’ll use Appian Logging and Monitoring, Appian Health Check reports, Load Balancer, Web Server, Application Server, Search Server, Engine and Services Server to maintain and sustain an Appian application server systems operating in AWS GovCloud in support of the broader MCBOSS DevSecOps Pipeline effort and CI/CD efforts. You’ll be responsible for meeting Program Increment (~12 week) deadlines to create and enhance the Appian Platform; maintain compatibility/ interoperability of the Appian System with adjacent SCCA, pipeline tools, cloud services, and mission systems; in conjunction with cybersecurity, create and sustain continuous authorization playbooks/guides/wikis needed to ensure users of the Appian Platform are kept within guardrails to reduce risk to their system; and create and sustain internal guides/wikis needed to operate painting, modify, and defend the Appian Platform. You'll execute all efforts in a collaborative and Scaled Agile fashion, work with Agile teams (developers, testers, operators and other production IT staff) to oversee code releases and deployments of capability, attend and participate in periodic large scale Agile planning events, support standard Agile ritual meetings (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Grooming, Spring Reviews, and Retrospectives) as necessary, and assist Scrum teams in execution of sprints.

You Have:

  • 6+ years of experience with IT and Appian Administrator Engineering 

  • Experience with performing work as an Appian Platform Administrator

  • Experience with Appian Logging and Monitoring, Appian Health Check Reports, Load Balancer, Web Server, Application Server, Search Server, and Engine & Services Server

  • Experience with Cloud Architecture (AWS) including Cloud Native Services and Infrastucture as Code (Terraform)

  • Experience with RedHat Enterprise Operating System

  • Experience with automation and configuration management tools to maintain the Appian System including Ansible, SCCM, Jenkins, and Puppet

  • Ability to deploy an Appian cluster or support an existing Appian cluster

  • Secret Clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with the Appian Application Service

  • Bachelor's degree in CS, Information Systems, or a related field

Clearance:
